Before the FPL Draft ranks, some notes from GW12. I can’t fathom the pain of supporting West Ham United. Moyes thought he’d inculcate the faithful with a clean sheet 0-0 draw and managed neither. As such, Lanzini remains the only outfield player worthy of a rank, discounted to Ashley Young / Matt Ritchie territory.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba single-handedly dragged United back from The Upside Down, making it clear Mourinho’s fortunes are tethered almost entirely upon the Frenchman’s auteurist invention. Welcome back, Zlatan, but Pogba is the true lion. For GW13, the tastiest Thanksgiving leftovers are Chelsea traveling to Anfield. Alonso and Zappacosta should have room to operate but make no mistake, this is going to be a Togga format smorgasbord of opportunity for every attacking player on the pitch. Start ’em if you got ’em!

There are three game weeks in the next 10 days, be sure to create a few notifications for yourself, as follows:

  • Friday – Sunday: GW13
  • Tuesday: Waivers
  • Tuesday-Wednesday: GW14
  • Thursday: Waivers
  • Saturday-Sunday: GW15

Let’s get started.

  • Postscript from GW12: I recently spent time in an opium den and as a result, ranked Daley Blind in the top ten last week. lols / WTFs, abound. Richarlison scored 20 points, most of it in the second half, and Gabbiadini started the game staring hatefully at Shane Long from the bench before putting in a meaningless 11 minute shift to end Southampton’s profoundly miserable day.
  • Studs: POGBAAAAAA! Pogba. POGBA! Pogba? P.O.G.B.A.!
  • Duds: I debated Dele Allie vs. Philippe Coutinho back in September and I was on the very wrong end of the debate. Alli is the 4th most dispossessed player in the EPL, just below Jordan Ayew, Andros Townsend, and Joshua King. The problem for Alli is that Townsend leads the EPL in successful take-ons with 39 and Dele Alli is 37th with 14. Alli enjoyed some herd immunity in scoring 20 points when Spurs thrashed Liverpool, but that output was surrounded by 2 vs. Arsenal, 4 vs. United, 5 vs. Bournemouth, and 6 vs. Huddersfield Town. Come at me, Chuck.
